An evening with producer Jack Lechner: Making “Group”

City Congregation member Jack Lechner is an executive producer on the web series Group, about the ups and downs of a therapy group in New York City.  The patients are played by actors, who improvise their dialogue within scripted parameters, while the therapist is a real practitioner who has been leading groups for four decades. The series has received considerable acclaim; in a feature article, The Atlantic called it “riveting.”  Jack will talk about how the series came to be, as well as the challenges of producing Season Two during the pandemic.
