What does Shabbat mean to Humanistic Jews? Is it a meaningful or irrelevant concept?
More specifically, what do you like about our Shabbats at TCC? What would you like to add or change?
Familiar liturgy and rituals can be comforting and reassuring. They also need to be updated from time to time to keep in step with changes in society and within congregations. This has been true throughout Jewish history and in our own Humanistic Judaism movement.
Join this discussion and historic process to take a new look at the readings, concepts, music, and style of our Shabbat services. This interactive program will be led by board member Dan Wyman, with Rabbi Schweitzer providing some background on Shabbat.
We’d like input from all members whether you attend services regularly, sporadically, or not at all. Please be part of this vital project!
