ESSENTIAL SOUNDTRACKS: Music that Made a Deep Impression

Which songs have had a profound effect on your life?  Which songs guided you? Was it the lyrics?  The melody?  Perhaps an artist’s recording?  What makes them meaningful, relevant or long lasting? TCC members will talk about the music that reverberates throughout their lives.

This program will be moderated by TCC member Peter Mones. Peter’s love of classic songs started with discovering old 78s as a kid and listening to radio’s Joe Franklin. Some of the music that has been especially memorable for him includes songs by artists and composers Al Jolson, Irving Berlin and Bob Dylan, and also the great show, Fiddler on the Roof.

Please join us for a tasty pot-luck dessert following our Shabbat service and cultural program. Childcare provided for children 11 and younger.

All are welcome at this free event.
