Our June book selection is All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, winner of this year’s Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. The Wall Street Journal comments “All the Light We Cannot See, praised by the prize committee as an “imaginative and intricate” work that explores “human nature and the contradictory power of technology,” was named a National Book Award Finalist in the fall. The story follows a blind French girl and a young Nazi and is set mostly in the town of Saint-Malo, France. The prize committee noted the novel’s “short, elegant chapters” inspired by “the horrors of World War II.”
