sharing a holiday
service with a
community of Jews
who believe what
they say and say
what they believe.
It isn’t hard to do.
Humanistic Jews observe Rosh Hashanah, the
Jewish New Year, as a time of self-reflection
and self-examination. Traditionally this is a period
of divine judgment and divine terror, whereas for
us these holidays are a powerful opportunity for
assessment, repair, change, and growth.
Services are led by Rabbi Peter Schweitzer with
participatory readings from members.
