The Jewish Meeting Point is on West 58th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. You MUST enter the area from 9th Avenue. Look for the JEWISH banners, specifically our City Congregation banner.
If we get more specific information about our location we will try to get it to you in advance. Please email Jean Weille, City Congregation Board Member and chairperson of our Social Action committee, your CELL NUMBER by Wednesday, Sept.17 so that we can TEXT this information the day of the march.
The March begins at 11:30am and we expect the Jewish group to step off at 12:30pm or later. It is not possible to give you a specific time we will begin marching. We know that waiting around can be difficult, especially for children, but we think it is best to arrive by 10:30am. We anticipate that the block will get quite crowded and at some point access may be shut off. If someone arrives late it may be difficult to join the group, or you’ll have to join in at some other point along the way.
Be prepared with food, hat, sunscreen, water. Don’t bring large backpacks or bags.
We will try to make a few dozen signs to hand out to those in our group. Please feel free to make your own. You can use cardboard tubes and strings to carry the signs, but no sticks.
It would be great to see TCC participants proudly wearing our t-shirts. You can order one on-line through Cafe Press. You will need to order T-Shirts, any color you like, right away so that they arrive on time! Click here to order adult t-shirts. Click here to order t-shirts for kids.
