Welcome our new Rabbi, Shabbat Service and Cultural Program

Come at 7pm to chat and catch up while you enjoy a drink and bite with the Installation of Rabbi Tzemah Yoreh as TCC’s new rabbi!
We will follow the installation with our first Shabbat service of the 2018-2019 Year, and conclude with a panel discussion by TCC members:

MY JEWISH JOURNEY:  Many Paths, Often Winding
What makes you Jewish?  Birth?  Choice?  Culture?  Religious practice?  A tie to Israel and the Holocaust?  Has your relationship to your Jewish identity changed over your life?  How is it different or the same as your parents’?  Do you feel that your journey is complete?  If not, what questions are you wrestling with?
City Congregation members will offer their reflections on these questions and then we’ll invite discussion among the audience.  Moderated by Carol Sternhell, TCC member and professor at the NYU Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.

Then stick around after the service and program for pot luck desserts and schmoozing. We’ll provide wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea.

RSVP is requested but not required.
