Cultural program:
TCC autobiographies: Devera and Michael Witkin
Interviewed by Ernie Rubinstein
Join us in this new series of programs in which we get to know our members! In this series members will tell us about the Jewish and Humanistic aspects of their life and work.
This time our members to be interviewed will be Michael and Devera Witkin. Both are long time members and volunteers at The City Congregation, well known and liked in our community.
Here are things they have to say, to give us a taste of the things we may not know about them, and they will share with us on the program.
Michael says: As a child, I wanted my own factory which would convert raw materials to finished product. After 25 years of factories, we retired to NYC and fell in love with the awesomeness of New York, and its public transportation.
Devera says: I’m a Secular, Jewish Southerner, turned Humanistic Jew. Anti-War Activist who grew up in military family. A college drop-out turned retail clerk turned secretary turned Pediatric Intensive Care Registered Nurse turned Business owner. A Steady Performer with Flashes of Brilliance.
