White Supremacy in 2021: Putting The Movement on Trial
presented by Amy Spitalnick
As the new administration prepares to take office, extremism is at record levels: 2019 was the deadliest year on record for hate crimes, and Homeland Security officials just called white supremacy the “most persistent and lethal threat” to our country. Integrity First for America (IFA) is taking on the leaders of this movement in court for their hateful violence in Charlottesville. Join us for a conversation with IFA Executive Director Amy Spitalnick on the fight against extremism in the year ahead, from the White House to the courts.
Amy Spitalnick is the Executive Director of Integrity First for America, the nonpartisan civil rights nonprofit that’s backing the landmark federal lawsuit filed by a coalition of Charlottesville community members against the neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and hate groups responsible for the August, 2017 violence. Amy has extensive experience in advising all levels of government on communications and has worked on a number of federal, state, and local campaigns and advocacy organizations.
Integrity First for America’s (IFA) Charlottesville lawsuit is the only current legal effort to take on the broad leadership of the white supremacist movement. Visit www.integrityfirstforamerica.org to learn more about IFA’s work. Here are two ways to support this crucial legal effort:
- Donate to #SueANazi. All donations to IFA fund critical case expenses, including security and evidence collection. IFA is a 501(c)3 so all donations are tax deductible. Click here to donate.
- Spread the word. Follow IFA on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to share their work and stay up to date. You can also find sample social media and email content in their activist toolkit, including the short video we screened that’s perfect for introducing your network to IFA’s work.
