MUSLIM-JEWISH RELATIONS:  Working Together to Prevent Hate Crimes

How can we reach out beyond our own  community to create understanding and prevent hate?  Natalia Mahmud, Assistant Director, U.S. Muslim-Jewish Relations at the American Jewish Committee in New York, will update us on current Muslim-Jewish relations and explore steps that can lead to inclusion, understanding, and building bridges.

Ms. Mahmud works on the Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council and helps guide the council’s domestic policy agenda. She previously worked for the U.S. Government as a Senior Program Examiner for the White House Office of Management and Budget (2009-2016).  She also served as an Advisor at the U.S. Mission to the UN where she was a delegate to the UN Fifth Committee working on management and reform issues.  Ms. Mahmud earned her Master’s in public policy from The George Washington University and holds a BA from Fordham University.

Then stick around after the service and program for pot luck desserts and schmoozing. We’ll provide wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea.
