This presentation will focus on the rise of eugenics in America in the early 20th century, how it influenced Nazi ideas, and how those ideas link to modern, Trumpian conceptions of disability.
Cara Liebowitz is a disability rights activist, writer, and teacher. Her written work has been featured in various digital and print outlets including Everyday Feminism, The Washington Post, and Uncanny Magazine. She has spoken at over 30 national and international conferences and events. Cara lives in New York City with her roommate and geriatric cat.
