What is the Future of Humanistic Judaism? – Paul Golin
As a philosophical approach to life, Humanistic Judaism has never been more relevant than during the Coronavirus pandemic, in its secular reliance on science to reveal truth and its Jewish ethical approach to all human life as equally and infinitely valuable. The way we organize communities around Humanistic Judaism, however, is under greatly increasing strain, and crises have a way of accelerating change already in the works.
Join Paul Golin, City Congregation member and executive director of the Society for Humanistic Judaism (SHJ), to discuss the challenges and opportunities for growing the movement to reach more households in new and meaningful ways. SHJ is the national organization dedicated to uniting and serving members in 28 local affiliated Humanistic Judaism communities, including The City Congregation here in New York.
