Inside the Lost Society of Polish Jewry By Allan Chernoff
In commemoration of Kristallnacht
Allan Chernoff will share with us stories from his book which was co-written with his mother. Rena Margulies Chernoff was a young survivor of the Holocaust, and The Tailors of Tomaszow is a unique communal memoir and history of the survivors of Rena’s hometown, Tomaszow-Mazowiecki, Poland. The Tailors of Tomaszow delivers a rare, unvarnished, and memorable account of Polish Jewry through the eyes of child and teenage survivors, before, during and after World War II.
Allan Chernoff, Former CNN and CNBC senior correspondent, is the CEO of Chernoff Communications, which provides writing, video production, and media strategy services to corporate and not-for-profit organizations. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious reporting awards including DuPont and Peabody recognition and his work has appeared in many publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times, Money, Newsweek, and The Forward.
