Ethics in Media by Peter Loge
Do political candidates – and their advocates – have any ethical obligations? If so, what are they and to whom are they obligated? Did the 2020 election change anything? Did it change everything?
Tonight, join Peter Loge, a political communications expert, as we examine how we might improve the tone of campaigns and political speech, and how the media and the political world intersect with our personal ethics.
Peter Loge is an Associate Professor in the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University. Over a 25-year career, he has served in senior staff positions in the US Congress and at the FDA during the Obama administration. As a strategic consultant, he has advised a range of organizations from American Farmland Trust and America’s Funniest Home Videos to the U.S. Institute of Peace and the World Wildlife Fund.
Currently, Peter is the director of a new initiative called the Project on Ethics in Political Communication.
