What is Happening in Israel?

After more than two years. the ruinous Israel-Gaza War is finally over. The only thing there is any agreement about is that the cost to the Jews living in Israel, to the Palestinians living in Gaza and the West Bank has been incalculable. Here too the war has affected us indirectly but profoundly. The Jewish community is divided like never before.

Following his recent visit to Israel, Rabbi Tzemah will speak specifically about how the Jewish communities in Israel has coped with this, including our humanistic sister communities, and the vast protest movements that have arisen. There will be opportunity for questions and for sharing. Given the gravity of the topic and the potential for strong feelings, Rabbi Tzemah asks that an attitude of radical listening and acceptance be adopted.
