Sometimes the best way to get involved in a cause is just to show up.
While we have all become somewhat numb to the onslaught of negative news, we also yearn to do something to make a difference.
So join the City Congregation for a third time to march for the rights of women and justice.
The march is sponsored by The Women’s March Alliance. Their mission statement is to provide a safe and accepting platform for supporters of equality and to rally and march in promotion of civil rights for every human regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, religion or creed. Our group will meet up at Verdi Square at 10:30. At 11:00 we will walk together to Central Park West to line up with the rest of the marchers.
The route will run along Central Park West, go South around Columbus Circle, East on 59 Street then South on 6th Avenue to 45th Street.
Please bring signs! Bring snacks, bring your Pink Pussy Hats. We will also have hand-knitted Pink Pussy Hats available for those who need them.
Those of you who came to the march last year and the year before know that it will be very crowded. There is a possibility that we will be standing still for much of the time. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There is power in numbers and we will show our strength and our unity by showing up!
