On February 12th, 2021, we had the honor and pleasure of having a guest speaker: Professor Robert Arthur King, who was gracious enough to allow us to share a recording of his presentation about historical public art.
All around the city there are faces on facades of buildings. Architect and photographer Robert Arthur King shared with us his pictures and commentary examining carved faces that delight, invite, or warn us, embellishing houses in New York and from his travels.
Robert Arthur King, FAIA, is a registered architect and a certified interior designer. He is a graduate of Columbia University School of Architecture and the Architectural Association in London. Since 1988 he has been teaching at the New York School of Interior Design, and has published three books, Faces in Stone, Animals in Stone, and Figures in Stone.
